The Piece Hall, Halifax
Working with L&R Consulting as an associate, Peter White has been appointed to provide the Business Planning Role to Calderdale Council for the Piece Hall in Halifax. The council has recently secured HLF funding for a stage 2 bid to transform the building into a vibrant creative hub.
The capital scheme is estimated at £16m. Clearly we are delighted to have been selected following a competitive tendering exercise and are excited at the prospect of helping determine the future of this prestigious Grade I listed building, which is seen to be a major driver for the success of the town centre and of the cultural quarter in particular.
The Stable Block, Long Eaton Town Hall, Nottinghamshire
Working with Rodney Melville and Partners the leading conservation architects, FLC has been appointed to carry out an options appraisal for this group of listed buildings to the rear of the town hall. The study's purpose is to determine the best course of action to secure the Stable Block's future whilst making a positive contribution to the economic and social life of the area.
